Patrice offers individual and group therapy in Roswell, Georgia for moms who are struggling with maternal mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, or even just feeling overwhelmed by the many hats moms wear.
Becoming a mom can be one of the most exciting times in a woman’s life, but it can also be one of the hardest. When Patrice first became a mom herself, she struggled much more than she expected to.
She had been working as a play therapist, telling other moms how to parent for years. So she thought she knew what she was doing. Little did Patrice know, nothing can really prepare you for parenthood as well as experience.
“There are times along the way when I’ve realized that I wasn’t the only one struggling with something and I immediately felt relief. Realizing this gave me the passion to help other moms by showing them that they aren’t alone.”
Background
Patrice received a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University in 2006. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is certified in Perinatal Mental Health. Her experience includes:

- Intensive Family Intervention therapist
- Care advocate for multiple managed care companies
- Forensic interviewing & therapy at a children’s shelter
- Play therapy in a private practice setting

Practicing from a person-centered perspective, Patrice values each client’s ability to discover solutions to their struggles while serving as their guide.
She also uses cognitive behavioral techniques when appropriate to help clients understand how their thoughts are connected to their behavior and then works to empower them to make measurable changes in their daily lives. Together we can help you live a more fulfilled life!
